Each month new tools will be added for you to try. The tools were chosen for their possibilities in any classroom.
September 2014
Gives you a list of recommended apps for all levels on the Blooms taxonomy. Just browse to find useful ones for your lessons. Some are free others require payment.
Create quiz questions on a variety of videos. Pauses the video, checks for understanding, and grades the assesment
October 2014
Real-time student response system. Measure and visualize student understanding in real-time w/ dynamic graphical interface for teacher. Track student understanding over time with scorebook feature. Common core standards integration. Students track their learning by seeing their own data in the moment and over time, integrating multiple classes.
Free video messaging 5 minutes or less. Students could easily create video presentations using their computers or phone lasting 5 minutes or less.

This is an awesome tool! You can video yourself explaining a lesson or concept as you manipulate items on the screen. You can even embed content! Check out the sample videos. I think this would work well for a flipped lesson, review, or even a day when you cannot be in class.
This link connects with the English page devoted to technology. There are multiple possibilities with this site as it has a wealth of information. I think a teacher could easily take the ideas here and move their instruction further technologically.
